restrictions, there are changes to the House of Worship\u2019s opening hours. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The grounds are open everyday from 9am to 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>To attend a devotional service at the House of Worship you will need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/seat-reservations-for-bahai-temple-services-tickets-126498268727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">register your attendance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;\">The House of Worship is open for personal reflection and prayer in accordance with the applicable COVID safety guidelines.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10am to 2pm (Monday to Friday)<\/li>\n<li>9am to 5pm (Saturday and Sunday)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_message][vc_message message_box_color=&#8221;orange&#8221; icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fa fa-calendar-check-o&#8221; el_class=&#8221;hidden&#8221;]In line with NSW Government guidelines due to the current COVID-19 situation in Sydney, the House of worship will be closed until further notice. You can view previously recorded services on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCA_dQV1PfjLoxkX-UYNYa9g\/videos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">House of Worship YouTube page<\/a>.[\/vc_message][vc_message message_box_color=&#8221;warning&#8221; icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fa fa-exclamation-triangle&#8221; el_class=&#8221;hidden&#8221;]\n<p style=\"ddpadding: 0;\"><strong>The House of Worship, grounds, and Visitor Center will be closed on Wednesday, 4 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_message][vc_message message_box_color=&#8221;green&#8221; icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fa fa-calendar-check-o&#8221;]\n<p style=\"ddpadding: 0;\">The Baha\u2019i House of Worship is now open daily.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday to Sunday:<\/strong> 10am &#8211; 4pm[\/vc_message][vc_column_text]The Baha\u2019i Temple is open every day and admission is free. You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>meditate and pray silently in the Temple<\/li>\n<li>attend a devotional service<\/li>\n<li>walk in the gardens<\/li>\n<li>visit the Information Centre<\/li>\n<li>browse in the bookshop<\/li>\n<li>eat in the covered open-air picnic area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Services<\/h2>\n<p>A public devotional service is held every Sunday at 11am. The service runs for 40 minutes and includes readings from the Baha&#8217;i\u00a0writings and the scriptures of other major religions. Ordinary members of the community \u2013 men and women, adults and children \u2013 read the texts without commentary. The atmosphere is enhanced by a cappella music.<\/p>\n<p>There is strictly no sermon or collection. Only Baha\u2019is may donate to the upkeep of the Temple.<\/p>\n<p>Special services are held from time to time to commemorate Baha\u2019i Holy Days and other important events such as International Women\u2019s Day, International Day of Peace and Human Rights Day. These services are usually followed by a short talk and discussion in the Information Centre.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Getting there<\/h2>\n<p>The Baha\u2019i\u00a0Temple is located at 173 Mona Vale Road, Ingleside, near Sydney\u2019s northern beaches. The GPS address\u00a0should be entered as \u201cBahai Temple Way\u201d. For public transport routes\u00a0visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportnsw.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Transport for NSW<\/a> website or call 131 500.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Group bookings<\/h2>\n<p>Group tours arranged to your requirements can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A guided tour of the Temple<\/li>\n<li>A video presentation and discussion time in the Information Centre<\/li>\n<li>A walk in the gardens<\/li>\n<li>Refreshments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>School groups and bus tours are welcome. Provisions are made for people with disabilities. With advance notice, guides can be arranged for most foreign language groups.<\/p>\n<p>Group bookings can be arranged by calling the Information Centre on (02) 9998 9221 or email <a href=\"mailto:temple@bahai.org.au\">temple@bahai.org.au<\/a> with your requirements.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Weddings<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0Temple is reserved for private prayer and meditation or for public services of worship.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, weddings may only be conducted outdoors in designated areas in the grounds, not in the\u00a0Temple\u00a0itself. Couples sometimes arrange to say prayers in the\u00a0Temple\u00a0before or after their wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Weddings held in the grounds must be Baha\u2019i weddings, whether or not the couple are Baha\u2019is. The marriage must be celebrated by a legally authorised marriage celebrant.<\/p>\n<p>For further information about holding a wedding in the\u00a0grounds, please contact the <a href=\"\/index.php\/contact\/\">National Baha\u2019i Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Photography<\/h2>\n<p>Visitors to the Baha\u2019i Temple are welcome to take photographs and to film for their personal use, providing they respect the sacred nature of the Temple and do not disturb other visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Publishers and producers wishing to include an image of the Temple in a publication, television program, website\u00a0or the like are requested to seek prior permission by contacting the <a href=\"\/index.php\/contact\/\">National Baha&#8217;i Office<\/a>.\u00a0Consideration of such requests will take into account the context in which the image will occur, the nature of the publication or program, and whether the proposed use will uphold the dignity of the Temple, which Baha\u2019is consider to be a sacred place.<\/p>\n<p>Permission will not be given to any use of the image of the Temple in commercial or political advertisements, nor for any purpose that could associate it with a commercial product or company in the mind of the public.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #009999;\">Use of Drones<\/h2>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">All drone usage must be approved beforehand. Requests should be made at least 14 days in advance to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/contact\/\">National Baha&#8217;i Office <\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN\">or, in the case of media requests, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/contact\/\">Office of External Affairs<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">Drone operators are required to maintain the sacredness and dignity of the Temple.
