20px!important; font-size: 38px!important;\">Spiritual education of children<\/h1>\n<div class=\"intro\">Children are the most precious treasure a community can possess, for\u00a0in them are the promise and guarantee of the future.<\/div>\n<div class=\"intro\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"intro\">For this promise to be realised,\u00a0the moral and spiritual education of children assumes vital importance.<\/div>\n<p>The goal of spiritual education is to cultivate in\u00a0children spiritual qualities such as love, forgiveness and justice, and to help them apply these qualities to their own lives and those around them.<\/p>\n<p>Across Australia, growing numbers of Baha\u2019i children\u2019s classes are being conducted in neighbourhoods, at the community level, and in <a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/spiritual-education-children\/bahai-classes-in-state-schools\/\">some State schools<\/a>. The classes aim to help children to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>acquire spiritual qualities such as love, truthfulness and generosity<\/li>\n<li>develop patterns of behaviour that\u00a0lead to a fruitful and productive life<\/li>\n<li>become aware\u00a0of God\u2019s love for humanity and His unfailing assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Children who have reached the age of 12 can continue this educational process with <a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/building-vibrant-communities\/role-of-youth\/\">further age-appropriate materials<\/a>. Eventually they reach the stage where they can take personal responsibility for their own spiritual development and contribute to the wellbeing of society.<\/p>\n<p>Baha&#8217;i children&#8217;s\u00a0classes\u00a0are open to all children,\u00a0subject to parental approval. All\u00a0classes are taught by volunteer local teachers who are trained to conduct classes by <a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/training-institute\/\">training institutes<\/a>. All teachers are accredited under the national <a href=\"\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/child-safe-environments-policy\/\">Baha\u2019i Child Safe Environments Policy<\/a>, which includes compliance with the relevant working with children laws of Australia\u2019s states and territories.
