and purpose. Australian Baha&#8217;is are committed to cultivating vibrant communities by developing capacities for service and fostering true friendships with all people, founded on mutual support and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Service to others enhances our intellectual and spiritual growth, and at the same time, allows us to give back to our local communities and make a difference in society. In doing so, we become active participants in a noble endeavour to build the world anew.<\/p>\n<p>Across the country, Baha\u2019is\u00a0are engaged in this community building process by participating alongside others in grassroots efforts such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/training-institute\/\">study circles<\/a> to build capacity for service by exploring the application of the Baha\u2019i writings to our individual and collective lives<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/creating-devotional-character\/\">devotional meetings<\/a> that are hosted to strengthen the spiritual character of a community by providing a space for collective worship<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/what-bahais-do\/building-vibrant-communities\/spiritual-education-children\/\">children&#8217;s classes<\/a> which contribute to the spiritual and moral education of children<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bahai.org.au\/index.php\/building-vibrant-communities\/role-of-youth\/\">youth activities<\/a> that build their capacity to serve as agents of change in their communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Many individuals who have participated in this community building process have gone on to accompany others in doing the same.
